Sunny Days, Radishes, and August

So it seems that in spite of the fact that June was a big puddle of rain, our July isn't looking like July at all! The cottonwood trees are blowing their fluff all over the yard (in places, it looks more like winter here than summer!), the grass is trying to go to seed, and the late-summer flowers are blooming! So I guess you could say that according to the plants, we skipped July altogether! It's a good thing that the weather doesn't know what the plants are thinking!
We're enjoying the heat and long sunny days, so long as we can take a mid-afternoon break inside where it's cool! What it means for us is that everything we seeded while we were fighting against the rain has a chance to really grow now. The biggest clue for us is the tomatoes. They're loving the heat! We started them early in the greenhouse to get a jump on the season, and even though we transplanted them a little late, they're doing fabulously. We're already getting some small red fruit on the early varieties!
Our other crops are doing well too. Almost ready to go are some lettuces, green onions, and the nice round red radishes! They'll be making it into our first deliveries, which will be beginning on July 13th! Looking forward to seeing all of our shareholders soon!
